Chapter Seventeen

Slade

Picking up our latest delivery gives me some alone time with Brick, which is good because I need to get him on side. This whole situation with Angel is getting out of control.

As he drives us toward the pickup spot, he glances over at me a few times, as if he knows I have something to say. But he, like the other guys, knows I’ll talk when I’m ready. I like that they don’t try to force me, to pry the words out when they’re not fully formed. I prefer to think things through and make sure I’m precise before I start blabbering like other people do.

“I don’t like her being at our house,” I say, frowning.

“Angel? You’ve made that pretty clear,” nods Brick, glancing over at me, and then he grins. “She’s pretty, though. Nice to look at.”

“Yeah, that’s an understatement,” I sigh. “It’s part of the problem. The three of you are all running around at half-mast in her presence, not thinking about work. All obsessed with shoving your dicks into her. I’m worried she’s a massive distraction, and she’s going to come between us and our business.”

There’s no way I’m telling Brick that even though my dick hasn’t worked quite right for years, even though sex is usually the last thing on my mind, she’s caught my attention.

It twinges at the sight of her when she bends over to put something in the dishwasher, or when I get a glimpse of her nipples hard under her thin tank top. It twitches now just at the thought of seeing her in those vulnerable moments, when her body speaks to me and mine responds.

Nobody has made my body respond like this in a really long time, and it’s got me on high alert. If she’s got me like this, no wonder the other guys are sniffing around like crazy, unable to focus on the work at hand.

“We don’t have to keep her around forever,” shrugs Brick, as he turns down a side street towards where the drop point for our most recent imports. “But I’d really like to have some fun with her before we decide how we’re going to dispose of her.”

I sigh. “We’re going to end up regretting this, man. I don’t care how round her ass is or how good she probably is at sucking dick.”

Brick laughs. “Hey, she might be a bit of a firecracker, but how much harm could she do? She’s tiny compared to us, and there’s only one of her.” He shrugs. “And do you really think she’s that big of a distraction? It’s not like Roman isn’t constantly distracted by pussy, anyway. Maybe it’s better to have one for him to obsess over in the house rather than having him go out chasing it all over town. Gives him something to focus on at home. At least we know where he is at all times, stalking Angel around and trying to get into her pants.”

I snort. He brings up a good point.
